If you think Nebraska has high enough taxes on alcohol with beer currently at 31 cents per gallon, it may be time to think again. A structure fire at 304 Berg St., a manufactured home, displaced two occupants Feb. 7 when resident Randy Harmon attempted to thaw frozen pipes with a flame as he has done many times before. Harmon said the insolation caught fire quickly, and it was fast and furious. Pine Bluffs came to Kimball on a Tuesday evening and once again both their girls and boys are having great success on the basketball courts. Kimball will have two wrestlers involved in this year's Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament being held this weekend at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha that starts today (Thursday). The Kimball boys put 4 quarters of basketball together and finished out the 4th quarter in securing a 66-56 win at Hemingford this past Friday night. The Longhorns got it rolling with 20 points in the opening period while holding the hosting Bobcats to 15.
