Last Tuesday was a first for Kimball area emergency personnel when they witnessed Regional West Medical Center's Air Link helicopter land in the old West Elementary playground. New Dimension, Kimball High School's show choir, recently competed in the Nebraska Choral Directors Association (NCDA) competition, the second competition for the show choir, at Imperial and brought home one of four gold ratings. Out of 21 participating groups, just four brought home a gold rating. Larry C. Larson, born to Lillie and Joseph Larson in Dalton, Nebraska, in 1937, passed away Jan. 20, 2016 in Gold Canyon, Arizona. Larry lived a full life raising three boys, piloting airplanes, riding motorcycles, fishing and establishing himself as a master of the business deal. Larry loved his wife and family and in turn was known and loved far and wide. In the summer of 1952, the Korean War was in-progress. Many of the young men and women in the Midwest were joining the various branches of the service. Aldon Eckland (Al) fancied the US Navy. The Dead Eye Shooters hosted the 2016 Panhandle Best 4-H Air Rifle Match on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Event Center in Kimball. The Kimball FFA Alumni has a few secrets and they are chomping at the bit to tell. Not only is Kimball’s alumni the oldest FFA Alumni chapter in Nebraska, they also have the largest number of lifetime alumni members of any chapter in the state. This group does more than most know.
