A split week for the Kimball Lady Longhorns as they suffered a loss at Pine Bluffs, with the Lady Hornets winning 63-38, but coming back Friday night on the home court to win 57-50 over Hemingford. The girl’s sub-district basketball tournament is taking place this week and the Kimball boys close out the regular season tomorrow (Friday) night when they host Mitchell. Potter-Dix Ladies ran right over the Peetz Lady Bull Dogs last Tuesday night with a 51-10 final. The Lady Coyotes finished the first quarter with a 13-4 lead over the Lady Bull Dogs and didn’t stop there, shutting out Peetz 17-0 in the second quarter heading into half-time with a 30-7 lead. Kimball’s junior varsity teams provided the most excitement for Kimball fans Friday evening as they picked up wins over visiting Sutherland. The Kimball JV girls won a 2 quarter game that went into overtime, 22-20. Emma Martin and Jenna Greenwood both had 5 points with Martin hitting a trey.
