    "We (seniors) want to be up to date with technology," said Katie Ryan of the Kimball Friendship Center. Computer classes started last Thursday at the Kimball Friendship Center, with local retired veteran Lincoln Brown heading up the volunteer classes.     The Kimball High girls went up against a pair of very talented foes this past week and came up on the losing end of both contests leaving them with a record of 4 win and 4 losses. On Thursday night they went to Sidney to battle the State Class B ranked Lady Raiders and lost 62-23. Saturday they hosted a very solid Chase County Club and lost 54-17.     Garrett Pedersen had a solid week of wrestling for the Kimball High Wrestling Team, winning top honors at both the Western Trails Conference tournament and the Garden County Invitational. The lanky senior wrestling at 120 pounds won his honors at WTC finishing third overall with losses to Sidney Wrestlers, but since Sidney was an add-on team, he defeated all of his actual WTC opponents, which gave him first and also giving him All Conference Honors as well.     A tough weekend of basketball for the Kimball High boys with losses to Sidney and Chase County. On Friday night they travelled to Sidney and went up against a very talented Red Raider club that handed the Longhorns a 61-26 defeat, and on Saturday, despite a very good effort, the Horns lost the battle of Longhorns with Chase County winning out 50-34.     The Kimball boy’s junior varsity saw their 4-0 win streak come to an end this past weekend as they fell to Sidney 55-36 and lost to Chase County 55-38. Austin Lulf hit a trey and had 9 points in the loss to Sidney. Brayden Tyan also had a trey and 7 points, as did Javon Coyle. Corey Travis had 5 points, Jacob Withrow 4, Brendan Walker 2, and Sam Cejero 2. Cejero tallied 8 points against Chase County going 4 for 4 at the foul line.     The boys out of Potter-Dix split the weekend with a loss at home to Bayard, but a win on the road against South Platte last weekend. The Coyotes were out-scored in the game with the Tigers 66-20, being down 42-10 at the end of first half action. With not much scoring from the Coyotes this game, it was senior Dylan Nelsen who led the books with eight points, followed by Grant Hickman with six and Terell Gray, Connor Williams and Gage Soucie adding two points.     Even after a long holiday break the Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes continue to roll. 2-0 on the weekend for the Lady Coyotes, they took down the Bayard Lady Tigers, as well as Blue Knights from South Platte. The Lady Coyotes first faced Bayard in a home conference game last Friday, Jan. 5. Potter-Dix headed into the second half up by 10.
