Coyotes Continue Strong Start, Beat Crawford

CRAWFORD – Potter-Dix's Coyote football team continued its strong start to the 2023 season, breezing past the Crawford Rams on the road Friday, September 1, by a final score of 69-31.

Senior quarterback Brayden Kasten led the Coyotes again, completing 8 of 14 passes for 96 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 211 yards on 11 carries and scoring three touchdowns on the ground.

Senior Jaxen Buettenback rushed 10 times for 73 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also had two blocked field goals. Touchdowns were caught by senior Caden McConnell, junior Dawsen Monheiser and sophomore Landon Gasseling. The offense compiled 408 yards in the lopsided win.

Sophomore Dylan Tabor led the defense with 11 total tackles. Remarkably, the Coyote defense was only able to generate 1 turnover, a fumble that was recovered by Buettenback.

The Coyotes look to stay undefeated on Thursday as they travel to Hay Springs to match up against the Hawks.
