Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Horns making progress

Longhorn Football might not be going how most of the fans would hope, but they are making progress, though perhaps not visibly.

According to coach Ben Aarestad, there is a lot of progress being made, in practice and during game time. Again this is a team that has battled injuries all season long, but the light is at the end of the tunnel.

Kimball faced conference rival Bridgeport Tigers last Friday, Sept. 29, the Horns kept the Tigers at a six point lead in the first quarter, but let another two touchdowns bump the score to 20-0 in the second quarter.

Kimball was able to have a scoring drive in the third, but not without the Tigers scoring another 16 points. The Horns, however, were able to hold Bridgeport in the fourth, to end the game 36-7.

No additional information was available at press.

Your Kimball Longhorns will face Bayard at home tomorrow, Friday. Game start time is set for 7 p.m.
