Short-handed Banner County squad competes at Chappell

A short-handed Banner County squad competed in the Chappell track meet held last Friday. Banner was without many of its team due to the state FFA conference, which was held last Wednesday through Friday in Lincoln.

Courtney Knisley led the Lady Wildcats with a second place finish in the 3200 meter run. She finished the race in 14:44. Knisley also took eighth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 3:05.30.

Abby Russell led the team in the throws with a throw of 30-0 in the shot put and 86-10 in the discus. She finished eighth in the shot put and ninth in the discus. Erika Geary finished 13th in the discus, while Emily Singleton took 14th place.

For the boys, Bryce Olsen finished 15th in both the shot put and the discus. He had a throw of 37-9 in the shot put and 94-03 in the discus. He also finished 30th in the 100 meter dash.
